Can you build an off-grid van with solar power?

  • Type of Air Conditioning– 120VAC (Dometic) or 12/ 24 VDC (Velti or Cruisin Comfort)

  • Auxiliary battery and charging system

  • Cost? $5,500- $7,000

  • Custom fabrication or use requirements

 


 

Do you install bathrooms and showers in camper vans?

Yes. We install:

  • Wet baths (full shower/toilet combo)

  • Indoor showers– Shower Stall, Tetravan or Vanwife Showers

  • Composting or cassette toilets

  • Outdoor shower systems

  • Water heaters (Hydronic, Propane, Electrical)

Water systems are designed for wherever you need to work

 

Are your van conversions legal in California?

Yes. Our builds comply with:

  • California vehicle modification standards

  • CA Licensed and insured General Contractor #1121645

  • Proper electrical safety practices

  • Secure mounting and weight distribution requirements

We also advise clients on DMV reclassification options where applicable.



 

 

Do you offer partial builds or modular upgrades?

Yes. Just need us to build you a bed or only the electrical or plumbing installation

Can someone finish my van?

  • What do we charge? $115 an hour plus the cost of parts. Usually around $4,500 per week

  • Most vans take 4-6 weeks to complete depending on circumstances

  • We may need to redo some of your work

  • You may need to buy new materials

  • How long will it take? I have no idea. Bring it by and we can talk about it

We can either do a contract week to week or break everything up into a project. That was there are no surprises

How does the process work?

Most full conversions take 8–16 weeks from first contact to pick up and it goes something like this:

  • Step One: Set up a meeting so we can go over your project

  • Step Two: We hammer out a list of items you want or don’t want

  • Step Three: Sign Contact and send deposit to schedule build and purchase materials

  • Step Four: Drop Van off with labor deposit

  • Step Five: Pick up van when everyone is happy and paid in full

Where are you located?

Our shop is centrally located in Los Angeles, CA but we have had customers send us their projects from all over the country. Send us your van and then drive it home from LA to wherever you may live

Our shop is based in the Los Angeles area and accepts appointments by consultation.

 

Do you help with van selection?

Yes. Although we do not sell vans, we provide pre-purchase guidance including:

  • High roof vs. mid roof comparison

  • Any size wheelbase planning

  • Diesel vs. gas considerations

  • New vs. used purchase analysis

  • Electric vs Internal Combustion

This prevents costly layout limitations later.
